It has been a while!

More than a year now! I was lazy, and very busy, catching up life after Covid. Lots have happened, but as a quick summary let’s say 2022 was Alice and Anita’ year, now on display at Galerie Dor in Aubusson.
Ca fait plus d’un an! J’ai eu la flemme, j’ai été très occupée aussi à reprendre une vie sociale après le temps de la Peste. Mais en résumé, disons que ça a été l’année d’Alice et Anita, qui sont en ce moment exposées à la galerie Dor à Aubusson.

In October, Alice and Anita 5 was shortlisted by the Cordis Prize in Edinburgh.
En octobre, Alice et Anita 5 a été sélectionnée par le Cordis Prize et exposé à Edimbourg.

Alice 4 was selected by the Irene Davies Emerging Artist Award in Melbourne, and now lives in the house of very kind people in Nantes.
Alice 4 est partie en Australie, selectionnée pour le Irene Davies Emerging Artist Award à Melbourne, puis a été acheté par un couple charmant, qui vit à Nantes.


For 2021 Christmas, I made a bunch of four selvedges tapestries for my friends. A Noël , j’ai tissé pas mal de petites tapisseries pour mes amis.

From January to June, I had the pleasure to have Muriel in my studio, we learnt a lot from each other.
De janvier à juin, j’ai eu le plaisir d’accueillir Muriel dans mon “atelier”, et cela a été un bonheur d’échanger au quotidien.

In April, Mariche from Feutrio was very kind to exhibit my Alice and Anita series in her workshop. En avril, Mariche a eu la générosité d’exposer mes oeuvres dans son atelier, Feutrio.

In May, Jon and Juan spent a few days in Aubusson, and that was a treat!
En mai, ça a été un bonheur d’accueillir Jon et Juan pour quelques jours à Aubusson.

In June, I took a national exam and became a proud Certified Professional Tapestry Weaver.
En juin, j’ai passé et réussi mon CAP Arts du Tapis et de la Tapisserie de Lisse!


During summer, I was happy to receive my daughter and dear friends.
Pendant l’été, j’ai reçu ma fille, ma puce, et des amis chers.



And since January I’m working on my new projet, let’s call it The class, and hopefully I will write a post about it soon.

Depuis janvier, je travaille sur un projet de longue haleine, appelons-le : La classe, et si tout va bien ce sera bientôt le sujet d’un autre article.

Four people

I’m beginning a new project, 6 epi, rather simple, just for fun, but I was too short on warp, and I have to wait for my order to arrive!

J’ai commencé un nouveau projet, assez simple, pour m’amuser, mais j’ai pas assez de coton pour ma chaîne! Je dois attendre ma commande….

Packing kelims

I’m moving in a few months, and beginning to pack. It allows me to have a look at some of my kelims that aren’t on display. I don’t particularly the design and colors of this one, but I’m fascinated by the weaving and the knots. It may be 60 to 100 years old, I believe from Turkey.

Je déménage dans quelques mois, et je commence empaqueter. Je redécouvre ceux de mes kilims confinés dans une boîte. Je n’adore ni les motifs ni les couleurs de celui-ci, mais je reste fascinée par le tissage et le tressage. Je pense qu’il vient de Turquie, il a entre 60 et 100 ans à mon avis.
