    2024 so far

The Class From January to March, I finished my series of groups from the Graduation photo. I love some of them, not so much some others. De janvier à mars, j’ai terminé ma série de groupes de La Classe. J’en aime certains, d’autres moins. Another tapestry from the same inspiration is about to be done

    2023

Here are some of his tapestries (and yes, they are tapestries!) This

  • High warp looms Métiers à tisser de haute-lisse

I first want to say I owe a lot to Rebecca Mezoff and Christabel Balfour’s posts on the subject. In their posts, they pointed at tapestry looms you can find in the US and England. This article is about high warp tapestry looms one can find in France, and what I learnt about them. We

  • African Textiles at Jouy-en-Josas

I visited this exhibition in this very interesting small museum in the town of Jouy-en-Josas, in the South of Paris. There was a lot of beautiful textiles, and an interesting parallel between those and European printed textiles made in Jouy as soon as the 18th century. Une intéressante expo de textiles africains, et une mise

Life is short, we’re getting older” (Fred Astaire), and before it’s too late, I want to reconnect with what I always liked, and wanted to study and share: making textiles, textures and jewels. So here I am, and this blog will be a piece of the sharing part. I will try to post weekly, on what I do, but also on textiles I love, blogs I discover, books I read.

I bet I will struggle with technology, (it’s my first blog) and with English, which is not my mother tongue. I made the choice of English because the online weaving community is mostly English speaking .

Et pour vous, mes amis français, un résumé de tout ça : la vie est courte, et il y a des tas de choses que j’ai envie de faire et de partager, alors je me lance dans ce blog, on verra bien.
